Barford St Peter’s are empowering Women Environmental Defenders

St Peter’s have recently developed their long-term commitment to Cord by starting monthly donations in support of our work with Women Environmental Defenders in Southeast Asia. Fundraising Manager Nick Thorley had the joy of updating the congregation on this project when he preached on 19 February.

Henley in Arden St John’s Self-Denial appeal

Cord Trustee Becky Snead had a wonderful time when she preached at St John’s on 12 February to launch their Lent appeal. Members forewent everyday treats like take-away coffees and cakes, donating the money they saved and raising an amazing £1050.

Cause of the month at Canterbury St Martin’s and St Paul’s

Nick Thorley is preaching at St Martin’s and St Paul’s on 25 June as they focus on Cord as their cause of the month. This visit will complement a display on Cord’s work which will remain in the church throughout June, helping to raise money and the profile of Cord’s work.

CEO Andy Pask returns home to Farnborough St Peter’s

Andy grew up in Farnborough and attended St Peter’s where he came to faith. He’s looking forward to returning to preach about Cord as part of their Mission Sunday on 25 June. St Peter’s regularly pray for our projects in their services, in addition to their frequent donations.

If your church would like to begin or increase their involvement with Cord we’ve got lots of helpful resources. We have a brand-new display featuring 9 posters. We have a variety of short films to show in your services. And, we’re always thrilled to come and preach or speak.
