Indigenous people have lived in the forests for centuries, sustaining the environment and providing for their families. Illegal logging and deforestation have increased causing families to lose their homes. Human Rights Defenders gather evidence and monitor areas where land is being grabbed, helping to bring this devastating practice to an end.
