Lasting peace in Laos

Over 2 million tons of bombs were dropped on Laos during the Vietnam War. It’s one of the poorest countries in Southeast Asia and the communist authorities suppress free media, ethnic minorities and religious groups.

Ndikumana’s Story 

Ndikumana’s whole life had focused on survival. Surviving the prejudice she faced due to dwarfism, surviving as a refugee fleeing violence and surviving resulting illnesses. She is now thriving as a female leader
